The Weeknd – “Secrets” Video
Right now, the Weeknd is in the midst of a truly great run of music videos for tracks like “Starboy,” “False Alarm,” and “I Feel It Coming.” And now his Starboy album has yielded yet another clip. This one is for the disco-flavored, Tears For Fears-interpolating “Secrets.” And the video, from director Pedro Martin-Calero, takes its cues from decades of European art cinema. In the clip, the Weeknd spends time in the lobby of an enormous building, with a girl who apparently can levitate. It doesn’t make a lot of narrative sense, but it’s not about narrative sense. Instead, it’s about all these gorgeously, immaculately composed shots, which make the most of the building’s geography. Check it out below.
Starboy is out now on XO/Republic.
