LCD Soundsystem Announce Another Brooklyn Steel Residency Starting This Friday
Back in April, LCD Soundsystem played some of the first non-festival concerts of their reunion in a five-night residency at new Brooklyn venue Brooklyn Steel, where they debuted several new songs including “Call The Police” and “American Dream,” the tracks they released ahead of their SNL performance last month. Now, with the band’s new album officially complete and a release possible as early as July, the band has announced a second residency at Brooklyn Steel beginning this Friday. This time LCD will play seven shows: They’ll perform this Friday and Saturday, take Sunday off, play three more gigs Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week, and close out the festivities with two more shows next Friday and Saturday. Tickets go on sale this Thursday, 6/15 at 10AM ET.
Here are those dates in a more legible format:
06/16 Brooklyn, NY @ Brooklyn Steel
06/17 Brooklyn, NY @ Brooklyn Steel
06/19 Brooklyn, NY @ Brooklyn Steel
06/20 Brooklyn, NY @ Brooklyn Steel
06/21 Brooklyn, NY @ Brooklyn Steel
06/23 Brooklyn, NY @ Brooklyn Steel
06/24 Brooklyn, NY @ Brooklyn Steel
Presumably LCD will play more new music at these shows, and presumably James Murphy won’t want you to record any of it.
