Watch The Shaggs Play Their First Show In 18 Years At Solid Sound
The Shaggs, the outsider sister act that released a lone album of atonal, off-kilter proto-punk before disbanding in 1975, performed for the first time in nearly 18 years today. Drummer Helen Wiggins passed away in 2006, but sisters Dot, Betty, and Rachel reunited at Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival in North Adams, MA to play cult favorites like “My Pal Foot Foot” — a song that Dot wrote about looking for her missing cat — and their cover of “Paper Roses.” Watch below.
