Behold The Bizarre Sight Of Pentatonix Covering Robyn
America has gone puzzlingly wild for Pentatonix, the a cappella group who won a reality-show competition in 2011 and who have been on the come-up ever since, performing at every fucking awards show and scoring a #1 album in 2015. Pentatonix came up doing a cappella covers, and now, with only a cello to back them up, they have taken on “Dancing On My Own,” Robyn’s glowing 2010 pop classic. And the Pentatonix cover is weirdly somber? It’s also just weird in general. Everything about this group is weird. If you want, you can go ahead and watch it below.
In the YouTube description, Pentatonix write:
We just wanted to take a minute to thank you all for your ongoing love and support. It means the world to all of us! “Dancing On My Own” is one of our favorite songs (by Robyn who is one of our favorite artists) and we’re so very proud to share it with you. We hope you love it as much as we do and we’re excited to share new music (and more) with you very, very soon. We love you!
So yeah, thanks for supporting Pentatonix.
