Watch Arcade Fire Play A Spirited “Everything Now” On Ellen
At this point, it’s not exactly shocking to see underground-rock types making media appearances. Still, there’s something truly striking about watching one of the defining indie rock bands of the last decade showing up on a daytime talk show, playing to a bunch of people shimmying in their seats. That’s what happened earlier today. Arcade Fire were guests on Ellen, and after an enthusiastic endorsement from Ellen herself, they played an energetic rendition of “Everything Now,” the title track from their divisive new album. They brought a big disco ball and a crew of synchronized-dancing backup singers and everything. Ellen blissfully sang along with the na-na-na part. Watch the performance below.
Everything Now is out now on Columbia.
