Mod youngsters Sunflower Bean have returned with a new single to announce their record deal with indie mainstay Mom + Pop. “I Was A Fool” fits in well in a 2017 environment that promotes Fleetwood Mac worship; it reminds me of a reinterpreted “Dreams” that sometimes starts sounding more like recent-vintage lo-fi pop when bassist Julia Cumming passes the mic to guitarist Nick Kivlen.
