Taylor Swift’s Reputation Reportedly Won’t Hit Streaming Services Upon Release
Taylor Swift’s Reputation comes out at the end of the week, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to stream it on Spotify. Bloomberg reports that Swift is planning on keeping the album off of all streaming services for at least a week, according to an unnamed source familiar with the matter, presumably to juice up album sales. Adele kept 25 off of streaming platforms for months and broke every sales record imaginable, and Taylor herself only let 1989 onto Apple Music after eight months and an infamous open letter. (More recently, she has been appearing in a series of Apple Music ads.) There are only a handful of artists who could pull this off, so we’ll see how well it works out for Tay.
