Donald Trump On Kanye West: “He’s Got Good Taste”
The depressing, disorienting, soul-sucking story of Kanye West’s continuing embrace of Donald Trump just keeps going. Yesterday, Trump retweeted West and thanked him for his support. And in a TV interview this morning, Trump had more things to say about West.
Trump called into Fox News’ Fox & Friends this morning for a long and rambling conversation, one that is already giving Trump legal problems. He admitted, for instance, that Michael Cohen represented him in the whole Stormy Daniels case. But in between self-incriminating statements, as Vulture reports, Trump had this to say about West: “He’s got good taste. Kanye looks and he sees black unemployment at the lowest it’s been in the history of our country. He’s smart. He says, ‘You know what, Trump is doing a much better job than the Democrats did.'”
Trump also criticized Shania Twain, who revealed herself to be a Trump supporter before walking her statement back: “Shania, who I think is terrific, made a mistake by saying, ‘I wish I didn’t go public with [supporting Trump].’ We know how she feels. People have done that, and they’re amazed by what happens to their business. We have tremendous support. We have tremendous fans.”
All these fucking people are just going to keep talking about each other, aren’t they?
