Susannah Cutler is releasing the first Yours Are The Only Ears album in a couple weeks, a debut that follows a few years worth of promising and often heartbreaking one-offs. She’s shared a few songs from it already, including “Saturn,” “Seeds,” and a re-recorded version of her older track “Fire In My Eyes.” Today, Cutler is sharing another one, “You And Bobby,” a patient song that’s wistful and wishing for a simpler time. “All I can do today/ Is dream of flying south to be/ With you and Bobby,” she sings. “And imagine the water scaling my legs/ In a sacred creek in Georgia/ Where my heart will always stay.” It’s slow and humid, the sticky complacency of a warm summer’s day drifting through on a slow breeze.
