Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner’s Eaux Claires music festival kicked off on Friday. Vernon and Dessner played new material from their Big Red Machine project on Friday. Last night, Vernon covered Bob Dylan’s “I Shall Be Released” with Moses Sumney and Francis And The Lights. Also last night, a chorus comprising Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, Anais Mitchell, Channy Leaneagh, Kristín Anna, Gordi, and others joined together to cover Gillian Welch’s 2001 hit “Everything Is Free.” Watch below.
