Ryan Adams’ upcoming UK tour remains scheduled as fans, troubled by recent allegations of the songwriter’s abuse, demand cancellations or refunds. Responding to complaints on social media, representatives for London’s Royal Albert Hall said show promoter SJM Concerts had assured the venue that the concerts would go ahead as planned and thus refunds were unavailable.

Hi Michael, the venue is being hired by a third party promoter SJM for the Ryan Adams concerts. The promoter has advised us that the concerts are still scheduled to go ahead.

Another ticketholding tipster tells Spin he received an email from UK-based ticketing company See Tickets stating, “The event is still going ahead therefore in line with our agreed terms and conditions, refunds are not available.”

Women including Phoebe Bridgers, Adams’ ex-wife Mandy Moore, ex-financée Megan Butterworth, and a then-underage fan accused Adams of targeting them for emotional and psychological abuse in a recent New York Times report. Their words have since been echoed by others, with Karen Elson and Liz Phair saying that they, too, had negative encounters with Adams. (Adams issued a series of apologetic tweets, but called the Times report “inaccurate.”)

In recent weeks, Adams has faced substantial professional consequences: The release of his upcoming album Big Colors was cancelled, and alternative radio programers have pulled back from playing his music. Explicit texts and photos Adams allegedly exchanged with the underage fan reportedly attracted the interest of the FBI.

Adams’ scheduled UK tour dates, evidently intended to coincide with the now-withdrawn album, are set to take him to a half-dozen cities in the UK and Ireland beginning March 30.
