Shaggy 2 Dope, one half of Insane Clown Posse, is the guy who famously once asked how the fuck magnets work. He's also the guy who once tried to dropkick Fred Durst mid-show. (It did not go well.) And now he's here giving advice on how to beat coronavirus.

In a short video that went viral last night, Shaggy described his method for protecting himself against a global pandemic. It involves dirt snow, and it is gross. It's almost certainly not medically sound, either.

In Shaggy 2 Dope's defense, he is almost certainly not being serious in this video. (ICP never get credit for being intentionally funny.) Still, while I'm not a doctor, you probably shouldn't listen to Shaggy 2 Dope on this one.

This video reaches our feeds in a profoundly unexpected way. Last night, Colin Hanks, the seemingly well-balanced actor son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, tweeted it.

If this works, it will be a miracle. Exactly like fucking magnets and how THEY work! https://t.co/EUqUULCDa1

Last night was also the night that Tom Hanks shared the news that both he and Rita Wilson have tested positive for coronavirus. It appears that Colin tweeted the Shaggy 2 Dope video just before Tom became the first celebrity to go public with the news that he has coronavirus. So we're looking at two scenarios here. Maybe Colin Hanks tweeted that Shaggy 2 Dope video when he was just about to learn that his parents had coronavirus. Or maybe he found out about his parents, and then tweeted the video, which adds a whole other level of gallows-humor irony to this whole thing.

We're entering a completely hallucinatory new phase of public life. If Shaggy 2 Dope ends up saving Tom Hanks' life, that'll only be as weird as every other fucking thing happening in the world.
