Megan Thee Stallion was the musical guest on the premiere of Saturday Night Live's 46th season. The Houston rapper and ascendent chart staple first performed "Savage," her hit from earlier this year, and incorporated speeches from Malcolm X -- which was also sampled on her "Savage" remix co-star Beyoncé's Lemonade -- and activist Tamika Mallory, talking about Breonna Taylor case prosecutor Daniel Cameron.

She ended that performance with a message: "We need to protect our Black women and love our Black women 'cus at the end of the day, we need our Black women. We need to protect our Black men and stand up for our Black men because at the end of the day, we're tired of seeing hashtags of our Black men."

Later on in the show, she came back for a performance of her recently released single "Don't Stop" and was joined by featured guest Young Thug. Megan also appeared in a sketch called "Hello" alongside Kenan Thompson, Chris Redd, Pete Davidson, and Ego Nwodim about wearing face masks. Watch all that below.

Saturday Night Live's next musical guests are Morgan Wallen and Justin Bieber.
