The Australian shapeshifter Tkay Maidza released a great EP, Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 2, in 2020 and she kicked off this year with "Kim," a metallic banger that recreated three different Kims (Possible, Lil, and Kardashian) in its music video. Today, she's back with a new single, "Syrup," another quick hit that goes hard, a squelching and grimy beat with Maidza rapping about how she just wants to be "rich, thick, sweet, sick."
