PnB Rock Shot Dead In Robbery At LA Restaurant
PnB Rock has died after reportedly being shot in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the Philadelphia rapper was shot in South Los Angeles on Monday afternoon while at a Roscoe’s House Of Chicken ‘N Waffles. Some graphic footage of the rapper made its way onto social media, with TMZ writing that “the video shows Rock still moving, but it’s possible he may have taken a turn for the worse.” The outlet also said the the shooter “took jewelry off PnB and then fled.” He was 30.
TMZ added that the shooter only targeted Rock and none of the other patrons, which included the rapper’s girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, who’d tagged the couple’s location in a now-deleted Instagram Story.
Born Rakim Hasheem Allen in Philadelphia, Rock was best known for his 2015 single “Fleek” and the 2016 single “Selfish.” He also had vocals on on XXXTentacion’s “Changes” and released two albums: 2017’s Catch These Vibes and 2019’s TrapStar Turnt PopStar. In 2017, he contributed to the soundtrack of The Fate Of The Furious with two singles: “Gang Up” with Young Thug, 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa, and “Horses” with Kodak Black and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. In 2019, Rock was featured on Ed Sheeran’s “Cross Me.”
Earlier this year, Rock released a mixtape, SoundCloud Daze. He released his latest song, “Luv Me Again,” on September 2.
