Hear Dave Grohl Play Foo Fighters Deep Cuts On Norah Jones’ Podcast
Last year, Norah Jones launched her own podcast called Norah Jones Is Playing Along, in which she chats and performs with some of her favorite musicians. In the past few months, she’s had the National, Margaret Glaspy, Questlove and Christian McBride, and more on the show. Today, she put up a new episode with Dave Grohl, which they recorded back in April, prior to the release of Foo Fighters’ latest album But Here We Are.
As Consequence points out, Grohl performed some Foo Fighters deep cuts. For the first time ever, he played Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace‘s “Statues.” He also did In Your Honor‘s “Razor” and “Virginia Moon” (a duet with Jones) for the first time since 2006. They also play “The Ballad Of The Beaconsfield Miners,” “Everlong,” and Jones’ “Flame Twin.”
