Yesterday Dave Davies found his lost Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame trophy and today is Ray Davies' 80th birthday. The Killers just covered "Come Dancing" in Dublin. It would be sick if the Kinks finally reunited/worked it out on the remix. Until then, check out your best comments of the week.

At one point while we were preparing our 2014 Thanksgiving meal, Mrs. Carto began singing to herself. I recognized the snippet of a tune instantly, but the lyrics weren't quite right: "You know I'm all about that baste, 'bout that baste, no trouble". I was amused but a little confused, and asked where she'd heard that version of the song. She replied that she'd seen it in a cooking video, and asked what I meant by "that version of the song". I was more than a little gobsmacked. I said that the hit song was "All About That Bass", and that it had nothing to do with turkey preparation. She was then as gobsmacked as I had been.
I guess not everybody was listening to pop radio in the fall of 2014!
I actually had an entirely different list.

Next time my manager hassles me about something, I'm going to respond with, "If you were really worried about [whatever project needs to be completed] you would do more than just message me on Teams. Maybe mind your own business and grow up."
Just saying, if I were Drake and an arena full of Black people on Juneteenth were chanting "WE DON'T WANNA HEAR YOU SAY N-WORD NO MORE" before a song about me being a pedo was played six times in a row to bedlam, you would never hear from me again.
I'm not saying I'm gleefully waiting for a Swift downfall, but everything I know about this woman is increasingly against my will. She's the biggest symptom of the music industry becoming a party of haves vs. have-nots, which wasn't her fault until she leaned into it (I heard we're at 46 versions of TTPD and counting) and her reluctance to allow anyone else to have their moment is becoming glaringly obvious.
To quote a wise bird on Twitter, "I am feel uncomfortable when we are not about me?"
