as someone who produced a pretty bad hit em track last night, i think part of it also is just that it's fun to have a prompt to work with. it isn't something producers get that often- a couple really strict rules but the freedom to do whatever you want in that context. it was a fun little exercise, and it immediately got the juices flowing, which should be the idea, right?
