News of the Rilo Kiley reunion leaked last month, and it became official soon afterward. Rilo Kiley haven't played a show since their 2008 breakup, and their legend has only grown in their absence. This May, Rilo Kiley will play the Los Angeles indie rock nostalgia-fest Just Like Heaven, and they'll share headlining duties with Vampire Weekend, Empire Of The Sun, Bloc Party, and TV On The Radio. Now, we know that Rilo Kiley have at least one more show mapped out: They're going to Utah.
Back in December, Salt Lake City's widely beloved Kilby Block Party unveiled its 2025 lineup. The bill looks great; its headliners are New Order, Beach House, Justice, and a special Weezer set celebrating the Blue Album. The festival poster also had a couple of slots with prominent question marks, and we can now fill those question marks in. Rilo Kiley will play the Kilby Block Party on Friday night in the immediate-support slot. One can only hope that this means we'll get some kind of Rilo Kiley tour, as well.
Kilby Block Party has also added two other acts, British singer-songwriter Suki Waterhouse and Irish indie rocker Orla Gartland. The festival goes down 3/15-18 at the Utah State Fairpark. Check out the revised poster below.
