Turnstile Announce US Tour With Blood Orange, Mannequin Pussy, Amyl And The Sniffers, Speed, & Jane Remover

Gisela Jané

It is motherfucking Turnstile season right now. Last week, they dropped their new album Never Enough, and it smacks. Thus far, all the live shows that they've played behind the album have been absolute events. They kicked things off with a gigantic free hometown gig at the Baltimore park where I used to walk my dog, and I've been kicking myself for not making the three-hour drive up since it happened. At the record-release show under Brooklyn's K Bridge, Paramore's Hayley Williams was a surprise guest. This past weekend, I was right up front when they shut down Primavera with a 3AM set. (I can't say I watched them because I barely looked at the stage. I was in viking mode.) Now, Turnstile have announced a huge US tour with an incredibly cool slate of rotating openers.

Turnstile tours are a big deal, and they put a ton of effort into curating the vibe and figuring out the right tourmates. It makes sense, since their own sets don't really go longer than 45 minutes. These shows are coming to some impressively large outdoor venues, with a few festivals along the way. Sydney hardcore marauders Speed and post-everything iconoclast Jane Remover are on board for the entire tour. The direct-support spot will change up throughout the run, and it'll be filled by a trio of acts who are all headliners in their own rights -- Mannequin Pussy, Amyl And The Sniffers, and frequent Turnstile collaborator Blood Orange. These shows are going to be fucking incredible. Get ready. Dates below.
