Aunt Katrina – “Ran Out Of Time”

Julia Hernandez

Last month, after recently announcing he'd be amicably stepping away from the Pittsburgh noise-pop band Feeble Little Horse, guitarist Ryan Walchonski announced a new album called This Heat Is Slowly Killing Me under his Aunt Katrina moniker. After sharing the warm and cozy lead single "Peace Of Mind," today he's back with the slightly weirder "Ran Out Of Time."

"Ran Out Of Time" is a little noisier, backed by a mathy drum beat and a healthy dose of guitar distortion. It finds Walchonski presumably heartbroken, pondering in the first verse: "I guess I know/ What it took for me to/ Die a slow, slow death." As he explains in a press release: "This song is an exasperated plea for wanting someone back." Watch Nara Avakian's video for the song below, where Walchonski carries around a retro, itty-bitty TV.

This Heat Is Slowly Killing Me is out 7/11 via Crafted Sounds.
