The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony is coming up exactly a month from now, with Outkast, the White Stripes, Soundgarden, Cyndi Lauper, Joe Cocker, Bad Company, and Chubby Checker getting in this year, with additional honors going to Salt-N-Pepa, Warren Zevon, Thom Bell, Carol Kaye, Nicky Hopkins, and Lenny Waronker. Today the Rock Hall has revealed who'll be presenting and performing at the event. Here's that list:
Beck
Brandi Carlile
David Letterman
Doja Cat
Elton John
Flea
Iggy Pop
J.I.D
Killer Mike
Maxwell
Missy Elliott
Olivia Rodrigo
Questlove
RAYE
Sleepy Brown
Taylor Momsen
Teddy Swims
Twenty One Pilots
We can probably assume that Letterman is going to induct his late friend Warren Zevon, that Sleepy Brown and Killer Mike will honor OutKast, and that Carlile and the Pretty Reckless' Momsen will be involved with Soundgarden's performance (Kim Thayil did tell me Soundgarden would be performing with artists they've toured and recorded with in the past). What else can we expect? Olivia Rodrigo covering her mentor Jack White’s old band the White Stripes? Flea inducting fellow bass icon Carol Kaye? Teddy Swims singing Joe Cocker? Missy Elliott paying tribute to Salt-N-Pepa? Twenty One Pilots performing "The Twist"?
A press release promises that more special guests will be revealed in the days leading up to the show. The ceremony will stream live on Disney+ on Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. ET and will be available to stream on demand later on. A primetime special featuring highlights from the show will then air on ABC on New Year's Day at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT and will be available to stream on Hulu the day after. Before all that, the 2025 Inductee Exhibit is opening to the public at the Rock Hall in Cleveland on Oct. 31, featuring the handwritten lyrics to Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time," the outfits worn by Jack and Meg White on the Icky Thump cover, a 1979
Gibson Les Paul played by Chris Cornell, outfits worn by Outkast including the one Andre 3000 wore in the "Hey Ya" video, and more.
