London-based jazz fusion trio The Comet Is Coming broke up in 2023, but founding member Dan Leavers — aka Danalogue — has evidently kept himself busy in the meantime. Today he's sharing his debut solo single "Sonic Hypnosis," which sees him lean more heavily into the electronic dance elements The Comet Is Coming incorporated into their albums.
"Sonic Hypnosis" is upbeat and full of various scintillating, staccato synth patterns. It gets pretty hypnotic, indeed. So does its Innerstrings-made visualizer, which you can watch below. Danalogue hasn't announced a full solo album yet, but it seems like we'll be hearing more from him soon.
