Billie Eilish’s James Cameron-Directed Concert Film Gets First Trailer

Billie Eilish's latest collab is with James Cameron. Over the summer during one of her concerts in Manchester, Eilish told the audience that she was working on an exciting new project, and though she wasn't allowed to say too much about it at the time, the abundance of movie cameras in the venue was a pretty big clue. Today the first official trailer for Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour has arrived ahead of its March theatrical release.

According to Cameron's IMDb page, Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour is the first concert film the Titanic and Avatar auteur has directed (though I am just now finding out that he directed a 1988 music video for Bill Paxton's band, Martini Ranch). The logline reads: "She changed music. He changed movies. Together they’ll reinvent the concert experience in 3D." Along with the expected concert footage, it looks like we'll also see some good behind-the-scenes moments, including the "puppy room" Eilish evidently likes to organize for herself to de-stress while on tour.

Props to Eilish for not doing a straight-to-Netflix concert film! Dad-daughter duos are gonna roll up to the movie theater in droves for this one. See the trailer below.

Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour premiers in theaters 3/20 via Paramount.
