Geese Announce Third Man Records Live Album

In a week and a half, Geese will make their Saturday Night Live debut, after frontman Cameron Winter already got parodied on the show. Winter might be the subject of a new concert film from Paul Thomas Anderson and Benny Safdie, too. Geese are obviously the band of the moment, and now they're about to have more product out on the shelves.

Last June, Geese played at Third Man Records in Nashville, selling out the facility's 250-capacity Blue Room. At the time, Geese were still a few weeks away from announcing Getting Killed, which would become Stereogum's favorite album of the year. That night, Geese played a bunch of the songs that would appear on Getting Killed, and then they encored by playing their 2023 album 3D Country in full. Now, a new live album will capture that set, minus the 3D Country encore. It'll include the full-band version of Cameron Winter's solo song "I Will Let You Down."

Geese: Live At Third Man Records was recorded straight to acetate, and it'll be out exclusively on vinyl next month, with a limited-edition black-and-blue version that you'll only be able to buy if you were actually at the gig. It's a cool opportunity to hear a band on the brink of something tremendous. Check out the tracklist below.
