The Brighton And Hove-based quintet Slag have a new EP coming out via the formidable UK indie/punk/emo label Big Scary Monsters. Losing, out in March, follows a string of singles over the past two years. Its opening track "Face Off" is out now, with a big ol' alt-rock chorus that might actually blow your face off. (I don't think that's what the title refers to, but you never know.) Real mid-'90s movie soundtrack hours on this one, but the band throws in a little math-pop flourish at the end to remind you they don't always play it quite this straight. Watch the video below.
