Wolf Parade’s Spencer Krug Debuts Solo Piano Version Of Heated Rivalry Hit “I’ll Believe In Anything”

Last month, Wolf Parade won the random-ass viral-hit lottery when their 2005 song "I'll Believe In Anything" soundtracked a dramatic moment on the HBO sports romance Heated Rivalry. In the past few weeks, the song has gone through a huge resurgence. Co-leader Spencer Krug commented on it and published a history of the song on his Patreon, and the band announced a new reissue and hockey-themed T-shirt. Now, Krug is performing the song solo, something that he never did before.

Spencer Krug debuted his solo-piano version of "I'll Believe In Anything" on Friday, when he performed at Unreal City Fest in Vancouver. Krug told the crowd that this is a new version of the song that he made "upon request." The song makes the transition just fine, and I would not be shocked if Krug releases a studio version soon. Watch it below.
