Munich indie veterans the Notwist are back in action these days, and their new album News From Planet Zombie comes out next month. We've already heard lead single "X-Ray," and now they've followed it with the new song "Projectors," a lush and orchestral circus-music swamp-waltz. Here's what the band says about it:
"Projectors" is a folk and country-influenced song with brass interludes featuring all of the album's guests: Enid Valu on vocals, Haruka Yoshizawa on harmonium, Chris Xiao on clarinet, and Mathias Götz on trombone. The lyrics, which are about getting through difficult times, are written as if Rutger Hauer could sing them in Blade Runner.
I love that this is the Notwist's take on folk and country. Hear "Projectors" below.
News From Planet Zombie is out 3/13 on Morr Music.
