Haywire & Dropkick Murphys – “New England Forever”

Right now, veteran Boston bruisers the Dropkick Murphys are out on their annual St. Patrick's Day tour, and they've brought along Haywire, the fast-rising hardcore band from the same city. It's a truly inspired pairing, and it feels even more obvious now that the two bands are making music together. If you go to one of those shows, you can buy the new Dropkick Murphys/Haywire split New England Forever. Otherwise, you can at least hear the title track right now.

Both Dropkick Murphys and Haywire have new songs on the New England Forever split, and both bands cover each other as well. We've already heard them join forces on "Citizen ICE," a newly reimagined version of the 2006 DKM rager "Citizen CIA." Now, Haywire have shared "New England Forever," a fired-up hometown pride anthem that features the Murphys. It sounds exactly the way you'd expect a Haywire/Dropkick Murphys collab called "New England Forever" to sound, by which I mean that it's a whole lot of fun. Listen below and learn the lyrics now so that you can participate in a rowdy-ass singalong sometime soon.

The New England Forever split is available now at Dropkick Murphys shows, and it'll be on streaming 3/17 via Dummy Luck Music/Play It Again Sam. Check out our We've Got A File On You interview with Dropkick Muprhys frontman Ken Casey here.
