A few weeks ago, SZA won the freakin' Grammy for freakin' Record Of The Year. Now, she's got a new song in a Pixar movie. She's come a long way! SZA's latest single is called "Save The Day," and it appears on the soundtrack to Hoppers, the new animated film where a scientist inhabits a robotic beaver avatar and goes to live among the unsuspecting animals.
"Save The Day" pulls off the surprising trick of working as big, bright Disney end-credits song while still sounding like SZA. She co-wrote the track with its two producers, Ben Lovett and past collaborator Rob Bisel, and it's a hazily ornate inspirational number. Check it out below.
Hoppers is in theaters 3/16, and it's a got a score from Devo's Mark Mothersbaugh. Too bad we didn't get a SZA/Devo collab out of that!
