Metallica Announce Sphere Shows

Metallica are coming to the Sphere. This fall, the legendary metal band will become the heaviest act so far to perform at the high-tech Las Vegas venue.

Dubbed Life Burns Faster, the residency will encompass eight shows over four weekends: Oct. 1 and 3, 15 and 17, 22 and 24, and 29 and 31. Each weekend concert pairing will be a No Repeat Weekend, meaning no songs will be repeated between the Thursday and Saturday shows. Tickets can be purchased for individual shows or for both shows in the same weekend. They'll go on sale here starting March 6 at 10 a.m. PT.

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich said in a statement that attending U2's Sphere residency convinced him Metallica should play there:

About 12 seconds into the opening night of Sphere with U2 back in ‘23, I thought "We have to do this, it’s completely uncharted territory!" This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months time, and way fuckin’ psyched to go next level!”
