SUSS Announce New Album Counting Sunsets: Hear “Sunset II”

Last year, the prolific New York ambient country trio SUSS teamed up with Immersion, the duo of Wire's Colin Newman and Minimal Compact’s Malka Spigel, for the collaborative album Nanocluster Vol. 3, and they also shared their version of Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land." Today, SUSS announce plans to follow their own 2024 LP Birds & Beasts with a new one called Counting Sunsets.

Every track on Counting Sunsets is named after a number and a sunset — as in, "Sunset I," "Sunset II," etc. Lead single "Sunset II" is a meditative instrumental. Keyboards, acoustic guitars, and pedal steel swirl together to make you feel like you're alone in the universe. Put it on, stare out the window, and imagine yourself in a mythic and oppressive Western landscape for a few minutes. Below, check out "Sunset II," the fully meaningless Counting Sunsets tracklist, and SUSS' upcoming tour dates.
