New Jersey rap eccentric Fatboi Sharif was a Stereogum Artist To Watch in 2021, and he has put together a singularly bugged-out discography ever since then. Most recently, he teamed up with longtime collaborator Roper Williams for the 2025 album Goth Girl On The Enterprise. Next up, he'll release a new collaborative LP with Child Actor, a former dream-pop artist known for producing for people like Armand Hammer, Open Mike Eagle, and Earl Sweatshirt.
Fatboi Sharif and Child Actor's upcoming album is called Crayola Circles, and it will have zero guests or interludes. It's just 15 tracks of Fatboi Sharif over Child Actor's production, and it looks like it's going to be a trip. Lead single "Chemo Crystal Ball" is a psychedelic vamp with Sharif's voice lowered to sound as sinister as possible: "Momma told me I was crazy/ The system told me I was crazy/ Religion told me I was crazy/ But not mooooore than youuuuu."
