"Love Me The Same," the latest single from Suzy Clue, has an incredible mid-song avalanche of distortion. The press release described the Albania-born, NYC-raised musician's sound as "if Britney Spears grew up listening to Deftones," and I'd say that's pretty accurate. Her vocals are hushed, nearly secretive as she divulges emotional turmoil. "I’m searching for the broken girl/ Standing in the mirror," she sings. "Love Me The Same" slowly ramps up until it explodes. Parts of it feels like Silversun Pickups or Smashing Pumpkins.
Clue has only released a few singles. Her last one "Uneasy," came out last year and was co-produced with 100 Gecs' Dylan Brady.
