Robber Robber – “New Year’s Eve”

Jackie Freeman

We are so stoked for this Friday's release of Two Wheels Move The Soul, the new album from the electronics-infused Burlington indie band Robber Robber. They've released a whole slew of singles already, but who are we to reject one more when the tracks are this good? "New Year's Eve" sets Nina Cates' breathy wail against screaming guitar noise, all while the rhythm section thumps ominously in the background.

"Some of our songs start out as the four of us jamming together and this one was like that," Cates says. You can tell; the song's got a violent live-in-the-room feel, and it makes the most out of its throbbing repetition. Watch Noah Lenker's video for "New Year's Eve" below.

Two Wheels Move The Soul is out 4/3 on Fire Talk.
