This Saturday, Jack Black will host SNL and Jack White will serve as the musical guest. The promos are here, and their names are obviously a source for some of the jokes.
But before that, the comedian and the White Stripes frontman mention that it's the Easter and Passover show — the "two most metal holidays of all time," according to Black. They stood beside SNL cast member Marcello Hernandez, who points out that Jack Black is the opposite of Jack White. "What's the opposite of Marcello Hernandez?" asks Black. "Well, in a different way, it is also Jack White."
It will be Black's fifth time hosting, so he will join the Five-Timers Club. It will be White's sixth time as musical guest (including with the White Stripes) but there is no club for musical guests. White also played SNL50: The Homecoming Concert.
It's not the first time the two Jacks have crossed paths. In 2019, Black, White, and Kyle Gass teamed up for the Tenacious D track "Don't Blow It, Kage" for White's Third Man Records. Watch the promo below.
