The xx Play First Show In Eight Years

The xx are back. The indie greats will be performing at Coachella, Kilby Block Party, and Primavera Sound this year, and last night they played their first show in eight years in Mexico City.

Last night was the first of three shows at the Pepsi Center WTC. Jamie xx, Romy, and Oliver Sim performed tracks from all three the xx albums, as well as solo stuff. They've all released their own albums since 2017's I See You, but they've been working on the follow-up since 2023. They did Jamie xx's "Loud Places" and his Gil Scott‐Heron collab "I'll Take Care Of U," in addition to Oliver Sim's "GMT," and Romy's "Enjoy Your Life."
