Atlanta rap star and former Migos member Offset was shot last night outside of a casino in Hollywood, Florida. TMZ reports that Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was treated by paramedics last night outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. A spokesperson tells TMZ that Offset, 34, is now recovering in an area hospital and that he's "fine."

In a statement to ABC News, Offset's spokesperson says, "We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored." According to police, the shooting occurred in the valet area outside the casino around 7PM, and two people have been detained in the ongoing investigation. A police spokesperson says, "The site is secure and there is no threat to the public."

In 2022, Offset's former Migos bandmate Takeoff was shot dead outside a Houston bowling alley at the age of 28.

UPDATE: TMZ reports that Bronx singer and rapper Lil Tjay was one of the two people detained by police after the shooting. (The other detained person has not been charged.) The 24-year-old Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, is not being charged in the shooting. Instead, police claim that Tjay was involved in a fight before the shooting. Tjay was reportedly booked for misdemeanor disorderly conduct-affray, and he was held on a $500 bond. In 2022, Tjay survived a New Jersey shooting where he was hit seven times.
