Sabrina Carpenter’s Coachella Set Had Susan Sarandon, Will Ferrell, & Several Man’s Best Friend Live Debuts

Today marks two years since Sabrina Carpenter's rise into main-girl pop stardom with "Espresso." Before that song, the idea of her headlining Coachella would've been ridiculous, but now it's a given. She did just that last night, and her performance included appearances from Susan Sarandon and Will Ferrell, plus several Man's Best Friend live debuts.

Carpenter's set was Hollywood-themed with a cinematic monologue from Sarandon and comedy from Ferrell. Other guests included Samuel L. Jackson and Sam Elliott, and there were references to Alfred HitchcockThe Wizard Of Oz, and Snakes On A Plane. She gave live debuts to the Man's Best Friend tracks "When Did You Get Hot?" "We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night," "Such A Funny Way," and "Sugar Talking."

There was also a moment of controversy when an audience member performed a zaghrouta — a high-pitched sound expressing celebration in Arab cultures — and the singer mistook it for a yodel, saying, "I don't like it." See videos from the set below.
