Last month, Tasha shared a gorgeous song called "Summer." Now, the newly New York-based singer-songwriter is announcing her new album, You Are Spring, to follow 2024's All This And So Much More. She's sharing "Clarion" and "Spring" today, the latter of which features L'Rain and Jamila Woods.
About "Clarion," which comes with a music video directed by Mars Alba, Tasha says:
While making the long drive between New York and Chicago (which I did 3 times in the span of 2 months in 2024) I repeatedly took note of a sign for the Pennsylvania town of Clarion and each time thought to myself, “That would make a great name for a song.” So I decided to make a song with that name. A song about coming and going, about wanting to change your life but not quite knowing how you’re going to do it, but feeling suddenly on the edge of figuring it out. The goodness is coming, it’s around the corner, you can feel it!
You Are Spring was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Tasha's frequent collaborator Gregory Uhlman (Meg Duffy, Perfume Genius). "Spring" also comes with a music video, directed by Stella Rae Binion. That song was inspired by Gwendolyn Brooks' 1987 poem "To The Young Who Want To Die." Check out both music videos below.
