Yungblud’s Team Responds To Machine Gun Kelly’s Brutal Instagram Diss

Despite their differences in background and approach, Yungblud (Dom Harrison) and Machine Gun Kelly (Colson Baker) were once close collaborators, and they occupy more or less the same cultural space. They're both celebrity "rock" guys who don't really rock but have ingratiated themselves within the upper tiers of the music industry and are embraced by iconic elders for some reason. So perhaps it's no surprise that they're feuding. Territorial pissings, you know?

On last month's Fred Durst collab "Fix Ur Face," MGK seemingly took aim at Yungblud with the lyric "Mickey Mouse kids turned rockstars/ Leaving private schools, tryna be outlaws." This matches Yungblud's profile. A Yungblud interview last week headlined by the pullquote "I'm a middle class English kid — I never said I wasn't" mentions the Doncaster native attended the prestigious Arts Educational School in Chiswick before snagging a role on the Disney Channel sitcom The Lodge.

Tuesday, in a bit of promo for his festival Bludfest, Yungblud posted footage of himself discussing the inaccessibility of live music on Instagram. MGK took the opportunity to once again unload on the British pop-rocker:

you cancelled a tour because you couldn't sell tickets blamed it on mental health then got parazzi'd at Nobu the next day Pinocchio. ? and your actual tour tickets are still the same price as every other artist. ? shut the fuck up you silver spooned preachy wanker.

MGK's comment has since been deleted, but various screenshots confirm it was there. Today, Yungblud's team responded to it in a statement to TMZ. "Dom has not commented directly as he is so busy focusing on his sold-out North American tour and finishing his next album," the rep says. "He genuinely hasn’t got time to engage in any of this but we wish MGK the very best."

Yungblud's tour hits San Diego tonight. MGK has a mixtape with Wiz Khalifa out Friday.
