Madonna Shares “Love Sensation,” Plays Times Square Grindr Pop-Up

Alex Antonioni

Right now, Madonna is building up to the release of her new album Confessions II, the sequel to her 2005 club classic Confessions On A Dance Floor. She's been working hard to sell this thing, too. We've posted the advance track "I Feel So Free" and the Sabrina Carpenter collab "Bring Your Love," which Madonna and Carpenter debuted at Coachella. She's making appearances at random clubs and at the World Cup Finals. Last night, she dropped a new single and performed for an estimated 50,000 people in Times Square.

Last night's Madonna performance was a special Pride Month pop-up that streamed live on the queer dating app Grindr. After performing "I Feel So Free" and "Bring Your Love," she debuted "Love Sensation," the new single that she released last night. It's a thumping club track with a bit of French Touch flavor on the chorus. This song is built to function as specifically as club music, but it sounds just fine in my office this morning.

After she sang those three new songs at the Times Square gig, Madonna reached back to the first Confessions. She did the hit "Hung Up," and then she performed two deeper cuts, "Get Together" and "I Love New York," for the first time since 2006. Below, check out "Love Sensation" and some videos from the Times Square show.

Confessions II is out 7/3 on Warner.
