EDM DJ John Summit is a huge deal in the dance world, a big enough name to headline a festival like Bonnaroo or Outside Lands. But when another artist randomly and unexpectedly makes an appearance during one of his sets, the whole thing might get shut down. On Sunday night, Summit played a set at Lilly's Club in Monte Carlo, as part of an afterparty for the Monaco Grand Prix, but the set ended early because another artist bum-rushed the stage. According to TMZ, that artist was Travis Scott.
On Twitter yesterday, Summit posted an explanation for the truncated set: "last night was out of my control. my show got shut down due to another artist showing up late and forcing his way onto the stage."

TMZ posted a video showing what appears to be Travis Scott pulling himself up onstage. Summit and his team haven't singled out Scott as the rowdy interloper, but Summit did attach Scott's song "Topiary Twins" to his social media post. On Instagram, Summit's production designer Erik Fink hyped up a Summit Ibiza set by saying, "Special highlight tonight: No fuckin' Travis Scott."
Summit and Scott have met before. According to World Red Eye, Scott hung out with Summit during a set at Miami's LIV club last year.

In any case, Summit is apparently cool with the idea of celebrities with checkered pasts coming through for his sets.
you’re always welcome to be a backstage baddie hunter https://t.co/7Z9vqgmedu
