When someone took a shit in the Turnstile pit in 2021, it was the conversation topic of the week. Now Noah Kahan's concert seat pooper is in the spotlight. In case you haven't heard, a fan at Philly's Citizens Bank Park relieved themselves while the folk-pop singer was only a few songs into his set on Friday (June 26). Kahan made a tweet afterward urging his fans to use the bathroom, and he brought up the subject again last night at his Toronto show.
"This is awkward and it's fresh in more ways than one. You'll find out in a second," Kahan said at Rogers Stadium. "When you enter this building, you enter a social contract, right? And rule number two, besides don't literally fucking kill each other, is don't shit on the floor. So we're gonna do some therapy type of thing where we all — basically repeat after me, OK? If you think you have to shit on the floor, then don't repeat after me, I guess. But please don't do it." He then led a pledge, with the audience echoing his words: "I solemnly swear I will not shit my pants and if I do, I won't take it from my pants and put it on the floor."
A phone started ringing, and he took a phone call from "The National Center for IBS, Colitis, and Diarrhea." He said, "One in four adults suffer from IBS? I'm so sorry. Shit all you fucking want."
Well, at least he's a good sport. Watch the moment below.
A similar incident reportedly happened at 5 Seconds Of Summer's show in Fort Worth, TX last week. Crazy times.
