South Korean musical artist Kim Jimin records indie pop under the name Meaningful Stone. Earlier this year, she traveled to Los Angeles to collaborate with Melina Duterte, the beloved artist and producer better known as Jay Som. The result is "1+1=0," a new single that shimmers and jangles with the best of them.
Kim's breathy vocals glide across a bustling surface of guitars, delivering universal concepts in bright bursts of melody: "I want to believe/ I want you to see/ When everything changes/ Don’t want you to live/ In your fantasy/ I’m already changing." It's like Hatchie at her dreamiest, or perhaps Soccer Mommy with a celestial shoegaze makeover. Check it out below.
