We have only a few more days until the release of Charli XCX's highly anticipated Brat followup Music, Fashion, Film. So far the pop star has shared the singles "Rock Music," "SS26," and "Wink Wink," along with the B-sides "I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night" and "Playboy Bunny." She debuted a bunch of tracks in Brooklyn the other weekend, including "Camera," which is out now.
"Camera" comes with an Aidan Zamiri-directed music video that plays into the film aspect of the record, following her on set with French actor Vincent Cassel. The lyrics have the kind of searing, almost existential introspection that Brat's "I Might Say Something Stupid" contained.
For the past couple of weeks, independent cinemas have been hosting listening events for the LP with a visual accompaniment. Charli, who says it's the "cutest way to hear the album," has surprised fans by appearing at some. There's still some happening before Friday's release. Check out "Camera" below.
Music, Fashion, Film is out 7/24 on Atlantic.
