Lil Wayne Can’t Look At Milk

You ever think about milk? Like, thousands of years ago, some prehistoric person looked at a cow's udder and thought I should drink what's in there, and now it's a staple of the human diet across so many cultures? Pretty fucking weird, man. Many people, for both health and moral reasons, won't consume dairy. And then there are others who do consume dairy but who just don't like to think about it. Lil Wayne, for instance, cannot look at milk.

Recently, Weezy F. Baby put in an appearance on Lil Dicky, Benny Blanco, and Kristin Batalucco's video podcast Friends Keep Secrets. (Batalucco, Google tells me, is Dicky's wife.) I was not previously aware that such a podcast existed, but now I am, and now you are, too. Looking at it now, Friends Keep Secrets is shot like a sitcom, and the last three guests were Blake Griffin, Hunter Biden, and Matty Matheson. The human tapestry!

In his hour-long conversation with Lil Dicky and friends, Lil Wayne talks about his days as a child rapper on Cash Money Records and his addiction to the Ancient Aliens TV show. But the reason you're here is the milk thing. At some point, Wayne mentions that he eats a lot of breakfast for dinner. But he says that when he pours himself a bowl of cereal, he can only put a little bit of milk in the bowl, and he "can't look at it."

Naturally, Lil Dicky asked why. Wayne's response: "When you ask people, you gonna find out this is very, very not uncommon. I don't eat a lot of things that's white and soft. Mashed potatoes I don't fuck with. Ranch I can't do. Stuff like mayonnaise. Nothing. Milk is the only thing, and white rice. That's the only thing I can do." The disgust on Wayne's face when he says the phrase "white and soft" makes a strong argument for the video podcast medium as a whole. Watch the moment for yourself below.
