Boy George Fires Label Manager Who Refused To Release His AI Pro-Israel Song, Drops Diss Track About Soup Dragons Singer

Boy George has caused a major stir since releasing his AI-generated pro-Israel track. He has since pulled out of a production of Jesus Christ Superstar and parted ways with the manager of his indie label Boy George Presents, after the manager refused to release the song. George has also continued to court controversy with more provocative music, including a diss track aimed at Soup Dragons singer Sean Dickson.

On social media, Boy George shared the following statement after cutting ties with Tony Pontius, the manager of Boy George Presents:

In Buddhism we understand that every action comes with a consequence. Due to my decision to stand up for my Jewish friends I am losing a few people from my life. Today I parted company with Tony Pontius who has run my record label BGP for a number of years. I wanted to release 'We Will Dance Again' but he was unequivocal and said 'I want nothing to do with this song' and I responded 'ok, we are done'. When someone is gutless it really does not hurt to say goodbye. My faith in humanity will not diminish and the truth will always win. I will release it!

Despite not having a label manage, Boy George has made his AI reggae song available for purchase on Bandcamp.

But the drama doesn't stop there. Boy George also released a diss track about Sean Dickson, who was the lead singer of the early '90s Scottish rock band the Soup Dragons. He is now a DJ and producer, releasing music as HiFi Sean. Dickson was amongst the many initial critics of the abominable AI track. They've been beefing online for the past few days.

@BoyGeorge I mentioned George supporting a regime that denies the help to AIDS charities and their patients. And as a gay / queer ‘supposed’ icon he should be ashamed of himself. So to clear this up this was not as divisive as he making out. But to block me on Instagram and then rip me to shreds with accusations that are wrong shows you the depth that this person will go to. Very sad really. And pathetic.

I guess that didn't bode well for Boy George and the only way he knew how to reply was with another bad AI song, which he posted on Instagram. Here are some lyrics: "Jealousy has got you where you are / It's not hard to be bitter / Look how well you do it / Get out your computer / And pretend to be a DJ."

In the Instagram caption for the diss track, Boy George connects Dickson to reggae musician Caron Geary (aka MC Kinky), a former collaborator of Boy George and also not a fan of "We Will Dance Again": 

The friends of Caron Geary are out in force again while she continues to spread lies about me which could get her into serious legal trouble. Although I’m not sure she has a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. Low Fi Sean has come at me out of nowhere for defending my Jewish friends but it turns out he is best mates with creepy Caron who has forgotten that the only reason anyone knows her is me. What a shame, she was amazing but with her ‘black face’ masks she would be cancelled if anyone knew who she was. Talk about partners in slime. Any more crap from you Caron and I will take legal action. I am not joking.

It's all one big, AI-sloppy mess.
