Post-punk anthems about falling in love with robots don't hit like they used to, now that it's actually happening. Nevertheless, Clutter have some real fun on their new mosh-inducing banger "Robot."
"'Robot' is a static and fuzzy song about the relationship between a girl and a robot," the Stockholm-based four-piece says. "It's a playful take on the rise of technology and both a [critique] and a bit of a joke. The lyrical subject blends with the sound of distorted and choppy instruments, almost creating an electronic sound."
The track follows the previous Sugar Rush singles "C.L.U.T.T.E.R.," "GirlVsHeart," and "Grease Baby," and the finale of "Robot" is like the sonic equivalent of a sugar rush. Watch a woman fall in love with a robot in the video below, animated by Henry Ander.
