Ziemba's coming back with a bang. The multi-disciplinary artist releases her long-awaited new album The Braid this fall, and so far she's shared the sprawling singles "The Perfect Rose" and "The Pleasure Seekers." Today's "We Implode" is a chirpy, inspiring triumph.
"I wrote this song across the course of a decade," René Kladzyk explains, and this is evident from the way the song feels like she's taking a step back from her life to reflect on it: "All I know is the lie I carry in my love and I'm happy," she sings simply and movingly. Another impactful moment: "It's funny and sad/ How big it all appeared/ The world remade in visions of a dream we shared/ And now there's nothing there." Beautiful.
